Sanok Rubber Company invested 12 million dollars on first stage

First Polish capital plant settled in San Luis Potosi, a European leader in rubber production, metal-rubber products and combinations of rubber with other materials.

Sanok Rubber Company, which headquarters are in Poland, is a global supplier of advanced solutions in automobiles sealing systems and anti-vibration systems.

The company chooses the state of San Luis Potosi to open its first production plant. On its first stage, which included the acquisition and renewal of the industrial building, besides the settling of an extrusion line, the investment was of about 12 million dollars.

“Opening this manufacturing plant is an event that fills us with proud and emotions together with my Polish colleagues. One of the most important elements to choose this location was the proximity the entity has with our customers, it took us two years to renew the facilities, settle the equipment and validate our capabilities with customers,” said Fidel Mendoza Aguilar, plant manager of Sanok Rubber Company San Luis Potosi.

The project the company has in the state includes several stages, therefore for the following stages is anticipated to reach four extrusion lines and invest more than 25 million dollars in total.

Currently, the workforce is integrated by 127 employees, and they are planning to have 223 people more to reach a total of 350 collaborators.

They have state-of-the-art laboratories and qualified personnel, they fulfill the tests with production of serial products, this allows a continuous control of the level and quality of the production, the introduction of innovative solutions on each stage of the technological process, from the product design, going through tests; to serial production, allow them offering items that satisfy the increasing demand of its world-class customers like BMW, Daimler, Volvo, Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, Inalfa Roof Systems, Webasto Roof Components, among others.

“The reason of our success is diversification, in our group, we have a portfolio of product lines with a high range of automotive seals to eliminate the vibration, this is the sector that encourages what we do,” said Rafal Grzybowski, vice-president of Sanok Rubber Company. 

The plant manager of Sanok Rubber Company San Luis said that they started manufacturing the product in October and for November they reached their total capability, delivering the first 1,000,000 products to their customers in the United States as well as in Mexico.

“During more than 85 years we have manufactured products of the highest quality satisfying the expectations of the most demanding customers, innovation is our daily strategy, combining tradition with modern times,” said Fidel Mendoza Aguilar. 

IDEAL LOCATION

Given the demand for its products and that its main customers have moved to the American continent, the company decided to expand, choosing Mexico to build its new plant.

“During 2018, the Polish company reached 270 million dollars, they currently have 3,500 employees around the world. They are present in China, Germany, France, Russia, Ukraine and the only place missing was Mexico,” said Rafal Grzybowski, vice-president of Sanok Rubber Company.

Taking into account the location, the economic and industrial growth, and the workforce quality, Polish investors choose to locate the Sanok Rubber Company plant in San Luis Potosi.

Maciej Zietara, Poland Ambassador in Mexico, said that the economic relations between Poland and Mexico are doing great, last year more than 1,300 million euros of bilateral commerce were held and this 2019 is the third investment they do in Mexico.

“It is the first Polish plant in San Luis Potosi, the third one of the automotive sector in Mexico, the other Polish investments in Guanajuato and Tlaxcala, and this year three Polish investments were fulfilled in Mexico,” he said.
