Texas–Mexico Manufacturing Ecosystem Forum 2027: The Event Bringing Together Companies and Industrial Leaders from Texas

South Texas

November 5, 2026

The Texas–Mexico Manufacturing Ecosystem Forum 2027 is a binational manufacturing event that will take place on May 12–13, 2027, at the Harlingen Convention Center in Harlingen, Texas, within the Rio South Texas Region. Over two days, the event will feature an industrial exhibition, conferences, specialized panels, a roundtable focused on integrating the Texas–Mexico manufacturing ecosystem, one-on-one business meetings, and networking opportunities.

Organized by Mexico Industry and ProTexas Industry, the Forum aims to bring together companies, suppliers, buyers, investors, and institutions to connect manufacturing capabilities and create new opportunities for business, investment, and talent development.

The event is expected to attract more than 2,500 participants, over 200 companies, more than 90 exhibitor booths, and over 70 invited associations, clusters, and organizations. The program will also include a Welcome Cocktail Reception and an Awards Night and Reception, providing opportunities to strengthen relationships among participants.

What makes it different? The Forum will connect the manufacturing ecosystems of Mexico and Texas through the First Texas–Mexico Manufacturing Ecosystem Integration Roundtable, bringing together presidents and directors of associations, clusters, business organizations, economic development organizations, and educational institutions from Texas and Mexico in a neutral setting.

A Shared Goal for the Texas–Mexico Manufacturing Ecosystem

The Texas–Mexico Manufacturing Ecosystem Forum 2027 seeks to bring together stakeholders involved in different stages of industrial development on a single platform, from manufacturing and supply chains to logistics, innovation, education, and investment promotion.

The Forum's objective is to:

"Connect and integrate the Texas–Mexico manufacturing ecosystem by bringing together clusters, manufacturing associations, economic development organizations, higher education and talent development institutions, technology and innovation organizations, and public-sector representatives within a single strategic platform focused on accelerating the regional integration of supply chains."

Under this vision, the event will promote stronger connections among companies and organizations with complementary capabilities. The goal is to facilitate discussions that help identify shared needs, connect projects, and build relationships that continue beyond the event.

Rio South Texas Region Will Be the Meeting Point for Manufacturing in Texas and Mexico

The Harlingen Convention Center, located in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley, will host the Forum's main program.

Holding the event in Harlingen, Texas, within the Rio South Texas Region, reflects the intention to create a space for dialogue in a region closely connected to manufacturing, logistics, and cross-border trade between Texas and Mexico.

From this location, the Forum will bring together organizations from different states and industrial regions to foster discussions that extend beyond the needs of any single city or industry.

The initiative recognizes that manufacturing competitiveness depends on the interaction of multiple capabilities: companies that manufacture products, suppliers that meet their requirements, infrastructure that enables the movement of goods, institutions that train specialists, and organizations that facilitate collaboration.

Bringing these stakeholders together will make it possible to examine the ecosystem as a whole and explore ways to strengthen its connections.

Strategic Industries Converging at the Forum

The event will bring together industries that drive industrial growth, supply chain integration, innovation, and regional competitiveness.

The general presentation identifies the following key sectors:

  • Automotive.

  • Aerospace.

  • Electronics.

  • Logistics.

  • Environmental sustainability.

  • International trade.

  • Human resources.

  • Plastics.

  • Tooling and precision manufacturing.

  • Information technology.

  • Advanced manufacturing.

The Forum's multisector approach will be one of its defining features, offering an environment where organizations can identify opportunities for collaboration both within their own industries and across other segments of the manufacturing ecosystem.

First Texas–Mexico Manufacturing Ecosystem Integration Roundtable

The Texas–Mexico Manufacturing Ecosystem Round Table will be one of the event's central activities.

The meeting is designed to bring together, for the first time in a single neutral setting, manufacturing associations, state and national industrial clusters, business and industry organizations, strategic institutions, and leaders involved in the economic development of the Texas–Mexico manufacturing ecosystem.

Its main objective is to establish, for the first time, a strategic dialogue among representatives of the manufacturing ecosystems of Mexico and Texas to align perspectives, build high-value relationships, identify common priorities and opportunities, and address shared challenges affecting the region's industrial competitiveness.

The initiative seeks to bring together organizations and leaders that have traditionally operated independently within their respective sectors, with the aim of encouraging greater alignment among industries, regions, and institutions.

The presentation describes its long-term purpose as follows:

"This meeting aims to lay the foundation for a joint agenda that drives manufacturing integration between Texas and Mexico and helps position both territories as one of the most integrated, dynamic, and competitive industrial ecosystems in the world."
