Odelo Farba looking for a place to settle their next plan

The German – Turkish firm that manufactures led lights for luxury vehicles, Odelo Farba, endorsed its interest for settling in Aguascalientes, businessmen held a visit to the entity to explore the opportunities the entity has.
Ahmet Bayraktar, president of the companies Farba Automotive Lighting Systems and Odelo Automotive Signal Lights, visited Aguascalientes with the objective of knowing the State and define if they will install a plant for the production of lights for luxury vehicles here.
During the tour, Bayraktar confirmed before the governor, Martin Orozco Sandoval, their interest to invest in the entity and explore the possibilities of starting operations in a medium term, in such meeting they anticipated that they will announce their final decision in July.
The businessmen said that they are expecting to start operations in 2018 and in case their production plant remains in the entity, such facility will represent an investment of 30 million pesos, they also said that they will be adding to their business model the manufacturing of high technology led lights for the new vehicles from the Daimler firm and for other luxury bands.
The biggest interest of the transnational firm is the proximity with Daimler, their main customer, which will be starting the production of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in 2018 in Cooperation Manufacturing Plant Aguascalientes (COMPAS,) product from the Alliance Renault-Nissan and Daimler AG, being built at the southern exit of the State capital.
Regarding this, Orozco Sandoval expressed his gratitude for the trust they have in the State, as well as he endorsed the commitment of working for the consolidation of Aguascalientes as an attractive destination for new investments.
The first meeting between the executives of Odelo Farba and the Ministry of Economic Development, was held the Industrial Expo Hannover Messe this year, meanwhile the businessmen group that visited the entity assured that there is an important advance in the negotiation of the investment project, which could include the installation of one of their industrial buildings in the State.
Odelo – Farba is a company that started operations in 1935 and currently it generates 1,600 direct jobs worldwide; is dedicated to the manufacture of direction lights, lighting and electric components, and among its main customers are Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Opel, BMW, Ferrari, Fiat, McLaren, Saab and Porsche.
