Investment in Querétaro surpasses $8.1 billion pesos in Q1 2026

The state of Querétaro secured 10 investment projects during the first quarter of the year, representing a potential value of 8.131 billion pesos and the creation of 3,479 specialized jobs, according to the Secretariat of Sustainable Development (SEDESU).
Industrial investment drives specialized employment in Querétaro
Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, head of the agency, stated that these results reflect the state’s ability to attract productive capital in strategic sectors, with a focus on high value-added activities that strengthen regional competitiveness.
Investments are primarily concentrated in the aerospace, food and beverage, automotive, and energy sectors—industries that have positioned Querétaro as a key node within global supply chains. In terms of capital origin, countries such as Spain, Mexico, the United States, Germany, Canada, and France stand out.
Project pipeline reinforces long-term growth potential
At the same time, SEDESU reported a pipeline of 46 investment projects, including 25 new initiatives and 21 expansions. If realized, these projects could represent more than 78.967 billion pesos and the creation of nearly 10,000 jobs in the state.
These projects are distributed across sectors such as aerospace, automotive, information technologies, and medical industries, reflecting a diversification strategy aimed at strengthening economic resilience and attracting higher value-added investment.
The origin of this pipeline is equally diverse, with investments coming from the United States, China, Germany, Mexico, Canada, South Korea, France, and Switzerland, highlighting the state’s international positioning as a reliable destination for business establishment and expansion.
With these indicators, Querétaro maintains a sustained trajectory in investment attraction, supported by its specialized workforce, industrial infrastructure, and an innovation-driven strategy. This performance reinforces its role within the nearshoring trend and points to new growth opportunities in the short and medium term.
