Forvia Hella Breaks Ground on Electronics Plant Expansion in Apaseo El Grande

Forvia Hella has laid the foundation stone for the expansion of its electronics plant located in the Amexhe Industrial Park in Apaseo El Grande, Guanajuato.
The event was attended by members of the company team as well as government officials. According to Forvia, this significant investment in infrastructure underscores its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and confidence in the potential of its team.
"We are thrilled to share a monumental milestone in the growth and evolution of FORVIA HELLA: the groundbreaking of our electronics plant expansion. It's not just about expanding our physical footprint; it represents a testament to our collective hard work and dedication to excellence. The expansion will be completed in three phases, with the first phase expected to be finished by the end of 2024," the company announced.
"These expanded facilities will enable us to increase our production capacities and introduce new product lines related to autonomous driving, lighting electronics, and electrification technologies for battery management systems," the company stated.
Forvia Hella in Guanajuato
In its electronics division, the company has a plant in San José Iturbide, Guanajuato, producing components such as actuators (vacuum pumps, wash pumps, engine compartment actuators), CIPOS technology (pedals, transmission range sensor), energy managers (junction box modules), and lighting electronics.
In June 2018, the second electronics plant was inaugurated in Apaseo El Grande, Guanajuato. This plant primarily manufactures electronic components for lighting, as well as control units for electronic power steering, among other products.
