Autoliv chooses Aguascalientes to locate its new plant

With an investment of 35 million dollars , Autoliv will install its new plant in Aguascalientes , which will be located in the Finsa Park .

It will be in this month of June when they start the construction of it; They are scheduled to end at the end of 2021, with the aim of starting operations in the first half of 2022. 

Roberto Pelayo, Autoliv project manager, stated that the facility will stand out for having new generation tools and will be built in a space of 30,000 square meters .

This plant will design and manufacture steering wheels with the latest automobile trends , which will be manufactured under the strictest quality controls to guarantee maximum safety for users of various automotive brands. 

"Autoliv has been installed in the country for 25 years, generates around 15,000 jobs and in Aguascalientes 3,000 job opportunities will be offered from the first months of 2022," he added. 

For his part, Martín Orozco Sandoval, state governor, highlighted the conditions that make the entity attractive for the development of new industrial and technological projects, such as avant-garde education, the quality and commitment of its people, the environment of peace and social security and legal certainty. 

"The entity has remained a pole of attraction for investments thanks to the combination of its competitive advantages and the close relationship that the Government has with companies, always moving towards the formation of a state with innovative and socially responsible industries," he said. .

Finally, Manuel Alejandro González Martínez, Secretary of Economic Development, commented that Autoliv is a Swedish-American company that has trusted Aguascalientes, so they will continue to ensure that the project is properly developed, being a facilitator of the installation and conclusion of the plant, as well as the link with local suppliers and the landing of decent jobs for the inhabitants of the hydrocalida entity.
