A new milestone for regional agribusiness and export logistics.

The unveiling of Polo del Bajío, Mexico’s first industrial park dedicated to logistics services for the agricultural sector, marks a significant step forward in strengthening the agribusiness ecosystem in Aguascalientes. The project, to be built in the community of Cañada Honda, will involve an investment of more than MX$265 million, led by local entrepreneurs.

Modern Logistics Infrastructure for Local Producers

Polo del Bajío will cover a two-hectare site and feature 24 warehouse units, each measuring 400 square meters, equipped for both dry and refrigerated storage. This specialized infrastructure will address the growing demand from local producers, many of whom have expanded operations and entered new export markets thanks to government support programs.

High-Quality Facilities and Strategic Location

The park will include:

  • Cold storage facilities
  • Security services
  • Potable water and electricity
  • Truck scale
  • Coworking areas and business center
  • Rest zones, parking, and cafeteria

Located in the northeastern part of Aguascalientes municipality, the park is strategically positioned to connect with key production clusters and enhance regional supply chain efficiency—a vital element for the agri-food sector’s competitiveness.

Public-Private Collaboration to Drive Industrial Growth

Governor Tere Jiménez, along with Economic Development Secretary Esaú Garza de Vega and the Sub Secretariat for Investment and Development, have pledged full institutional support to ensure the park’s success. The government will assist with business promotion and networking to facilitate rapid consolidation of the project.

Strengthening Agro-Industrial Competitiveness

Polo del Bajío represents a major advance for Aguascalientes, reinforcing the state’s agro-industrial competitiveness by:

  • Improving logistics capabilities
  • Expanding export opportunities
  • Generating skilled employment

With this initiative, Aguascalientes is positioning itself as a leader in integrated agro-logistics infrastructure in Mexico.
