SA Automotive Announce 250,000-Square-Foot Manufacturing Plant in Ramos Arizpe
November 4, 2026
Automotive interior and acoustic solutions provider SA Automotive, in partnership with its sister division SACO AEI, has announced a strategic capital investment to establish a major manufacturing complex in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila. Spanning 250,000 square feet (23,226 square meters), the project significantly scales the company’s production capacity and technical offerings across North America.
Beginning in the first quarter of 2027, half of the facility—125,000 squarefeet (11,613 square meters)—will be dedicated to advanced compression and injection molding operations designed to serve leading automotive OEMs and Tier1 suppliers.
Advanced Molding and Lightweight Vehicle Technologies
The Coahuila facility will feature state-of-the-art machinery and specialized processing equipment engineered to handle diverse material transformation methods:
- High-Tonnage Molding: Press capacities ranging from 660 to 3,500 tons to support heavy structural components.
- Specialized Injection Tech: Water- and gas-assisted injection systems, alongside proprietary iMFLUX technology.
- Low-Pressure Molding (LPM) & Thermoforming: Advanced systems for wet polyurethane processing, multi-layer lamination, and complex component assembly.
Key product applications include interior headliners, advanced cargo management systems, and lightweight honeycomb structures utilized in vehicle load-floor compartments.
Integrated Infrastructure for Scalable Production
Designed as a flexible, high-capacity production hub, the Ramos Arizpe complex integrates direct rail access and raw material silo infrastructure to seamlessly streamline supply chains directly into the manufacturing floor.
The facility’s operational model centralizes engineering capabilities, advanced processing, and high-volume assembly under one roof. This allows SA Automotiveto engage deeply across all stages of customer programs—from early-stage component design to full-scale industrial manufacturing.
By providing flexible build-to-print services and cross-technology integration, the project cements Ramos Arizpe’s position as a premier advanced manufacturing nexus, reinforcing Coahuila’s critical role within the North American automotive supply chain.
