The Querétaro Plastics Cluster celebrated its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of collaboration among companies, academic institutions, and government entities to strengthen one of the state’s most important industrial sectors.

What began as an initiative driven by visionary business leaders has evolved into a platform that connects industry, universities, and public institutions to promote innovation, workforce training, and supplier development across Querétaro’s plastics ecosystem.

A Decade of Industry Collaboration in Querétaro

Over the past ten years, the cluster has contributed to building a more connected and competitive plastics industry in the state. Its work has helped create stronger links between the productive sector and educational institutions, while also supporting initiatives focused on technical capabilities, business development, and long-term industry growth.

The anniversary also served as a reminder of the role the cluster has played in bringing together stakeholders around shared goals tied to competitiveness and industrial development.

New Board Signals Continuity and Future Growth

The event was attended by Marco A. Del Prete, Secretary of Sustainable Development of the State of Querétaro, who participated as guest of honor and formally swore in the 2026–2028 Board of Directors, led by Francois Ouellet.

This transition opens a new stage for the organization as it continues expanding its role within Querétaro’s industrial landscape. With a new board in place, the cluster is expected to continue promoting collaboration, innovation, and the strengthening of the regional supply chain.

Recognizing the Leaders Behind the Cluster’s History

As part of the celebration, the cluster recognized several individuals whose leadership has helped shape its trajectory, including Jesús Calderón, Venancio Pérez Gómez, Miguel Aguirre, and Arturo Nava.

These acknowledgments highlighted the long-term commitment of the people who have contributed to building an organization that today serves as an important point of connection for the plastics sector in Querétaro.

Commitment to Integrity and Good Practices

In addition to commemorating its anniversary, the cluster received the Distintivo Empresas Anticorrupción, awarded by the Querétaro State Anti-Corruption System and presented by Jorge Sánchez Martínez.

The distinction recognizes the sector’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and sound business practices—values that are increasingly important in building competitive industrial ecosystems and generating long-term confidence among companies, institutions, and investors.

As the Querétaro Plastics Cluster enters its second decade, the message surrounding the anniversary was clear: the organization’s history is still unfolding, and its next stage will continue to shape the future of one of the state’s key industrial industries.
