Magna International Arrives in Aguascalientes with a New Automotive Industry Project

Magna International, one of the world’s largest automotive suppliers, is preparing a new investment project in Aguascalientes aimed at strengthening the state’s automotive industry and expanding the integration of the sector’s supply chains. The announcement followed a meeting between company executives, Governor Tere Jiménez, and representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, Science and Technology, known as SEDECYT.
Magna Strengthens Aguascalientes’ Automotive Industry
The head of SEDECYT, Esaú Garza de Vega, stated that Magna’s arrival represents an opportunity to consolidate the growth of the state’s automotive ecosystem. He noted that the agency will provide support throughout the project’s development to facilitate its establishment and operations.
Magna International operates in 28 countries and has more than 300 manufacturing facilities throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia. The company supplies components, systems, and technologies to the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers, making it one of the most important participants in the global automotive industry supply chain.
Aguascalientes Strengthens Its Appeal for New Investments
Magna’s arrival is part of the investment attraction strategy being promoted by Aguascalientes, a state that has strengthened its position thanks to its geographic location, logistics infrastructure, industrial parks, and availability of specialized talent for advanced manufacturing.
Through this project, Aguascalientes seeks to strengthen its participation in the North American automotive value chain and establish itself as one of the leading destinations for new companies involved in manufacturing and supplying components to the industry.
