The German company Diehl Aviation, a global supplier of avionics, systems, and cabin solutions for aircraft, has officially launched operations at its new facility in the PyME Industrial Park in El Marqués, Querétaro. The project represents an investment of 918 million pesos and includes the creation of 600 highly specialized jobs to meet growing demand from clients such as Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, and Embraer.

The new plant begins operations with 8,200 m² of production and office space and has an expansion plan of an additional 4,000–6,000 m². In its first stage, it will manufacture high-capacity overhead compartments for the Airbus A220, and later, interior components for Eve’s eVTOL aircraft, expanding its portfolio into the field of advanced air mobility.

Innovation and Regional Supply Chain

With more than 5,400 employees worldwide and annual sales exceeding €1.2 billion, Diehl Aviation chose Querétaro for its consolidated aerospace ecosystem, proximity to assembly lines in Brazil, Canada, and the United States, and the ability to integrate local suppliers into its value chain. These conditions reduce delivery times, strengthen regional competitiveness, and provide greater logistical resilience.

“With this opening we are writing a new chapter in the history of aviation. From Querétaro, we are expanding our global future and moving closer to our strategic customers in the Americas,” said Jörg Schuler, CEO of Diehl Aviation, highlighting the company’s focus on innovation, talent, and industrial excellence.

Commitment to the Future of Aviation

The new operation complements the activities of Diehl Aerospace, its joint venture with Thales, and reinforces the group’s position as one of the world’s leading providers of aeronautical technology, avionics, and cabin solutions.

“This plant is not just a production facility, but a testament to the expertise and commitment of our global and local teams,” said Nicola Schill, Managing Director of Diehl Aviation México, emphasizing the delivery of the facility in record time.

With this investment, Diehl Aviation consolidates its presence in Mexico and leverages the dynamism of Querétaro’s aerospace cluster to boost technology transfer, skilled employment, and applied innovation in both the aeronautical sector and emerging air mobility.
