Chihuahua Aerospace Cluster advanced its international promotion agenda through its participation in Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), one of the world’s leading events for the aircraft cabin interiors industry. Held in Hamburg, Germany, the event brought together airlines, OEMs, suppliers, and specialized companies focused on cabin interiors, in-flight entertainment, connectivity, and onboard services.

The cluster participated in coordination with the Government of the State of Chihuahua, through Invest in Chihuahua and the Promotion Commission, with a business agenda focused on identifying new opportunities in the aircraft interiors segment and reinforcing relationships with global industry partners.

Chihuahua brings its aerospace capabilities to a global interiors platform

Aircraft Interiors Expo has become a key meeting point for companies connected to cabin design, passenger experience, materials, components, and specialized aerospace services. The 2026 edition gathered more than 450 exhibitors and around 13,000 visitors, including representatives from approximately 190 airlines, underscoring its relevance as a global sourcing and business development platform.

For Chihuahua, participation in this event was especially relevant because the state was the only Mexican state present. That presence allowed the cluster to promote Chihuahua’s aerospace capabilities, specialized talent, and competitive industrial base before international decision-makers in a high-value segment of the aviation supply chain.

Companies and institutions behind Chihuahua’s international presence

As part of the agenda, the delegation held a meeting with Mexico’s Honorary Consul in Hamburg to present Chihuahua’s value proposition and strengthen international positioning for the state’s aerospace ecosystem.

The delegation also included participation from cluster member companies such as American Industries Group, Soisa Aircraft Interiors, Polymershapes, and GPA AERO. Their presence reflected the depth of Chihuahua’s supplier base and the level of specialization the state has developed in aerospace manufacturing, services, and industrial support.

Through this participation, Chihuahua Aerospace Cluster reaffirmed its role as a connector between local capabilities and global opportunities, supporting investment attraction, business development, and strategic alliances that can expand the state’s aerospace footprint.
