300 million pesos were invested to contribute in State’s technological evolution

Mexico is witnessing an era of evolution transforming all technologies being used every day, therefore, industrial companies also have had the need of adapting to this change, hence Flex company saw a field of opportunities and challenges within this transition.

Thus, the event for the placement of the first stone of Q Building from Flex was held, in which they will provide innovative technologies, new manufacturing processes will be developed, data analysis, automation and supply chains in real-time, these factors will allow offering quickness, scope and necessary scale required by the current market.

“Thanks to the experience acquired throughout these years in different industries in which we have participated we were positioned in an incomparable way for the future, we began an internal transformation that led us to redefine our vision and mission,” said Gabriel Macias, VP of operations in Mexico.

The new industrial building infrastructure represented an investment of 300 million pesos, the construction will be finished in mid-2020 and is anticipated to generate 2,000 job opportunities within the upcoming years.

They will increase their capability in approximately 35 %, therefore 240,000 square feet will be added to this plant; as such the company will have a total of one million square feet in capability, totally dedicated to transform ideas in technological solutions.

“With this new project we confirm our commitment of continue being a leading company, committed with its customers, collaborators and commodities in which they work, this will be a new era for Aguascalientes in industry 4.0.  We at Flex, would like to continue being an important act and proud for Aguascalientes,” added Gabriel Macias.

Directives of the firm are planning to generate an economic revenue of 35 % more, this way another objective is being the best option in employment and successfully continue their operations to benefit the State, aiming to be a competitive development point in the region.

Flex arrived in Aguascalientes 36 years ago, this plant specializes in processes and products from medical and industrial areas mainly, likely they have a field vertically integrated where they have electronic processes, metal-mechanics, plastic injection, distribution, orders preparation and direct distribution.
