The first stone of the Milwaukee plant is placed in Torreón

In Torreón the first stone of the American company Milwaukee was laid, whose investment will be 83 million dollars, which represents a new type of industry for La Laguna.
Milwaukee is a manufacturing company (construction tools) and will be installed in Global Park Laguna de Torreón.
Larry Boswell, executive director of Operations Mexico of Milwaukee Tools, commented that it is a pleasure to settle in Coahuila and thanked Torreón for making them feel part of this community.
"The most important of all is that we already have the first jobs, because we firmly believe in the investment, people and high quality of our products," he said.
He noted that the investment being made is necessary to continue the growth of the company and to confirm the commitment to its customers. “Starting in April 2020 we will have a strong presence in global operations; we will create more than 2,600 jobs, ”he added.
Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís, governor of Coahuila, said that with the municipality of Torreón there is good coordination and the installation of this company confirms it.
"I appreciate the coordinated work, today we can show that this unit is paying off and that it also translates into a solidarity treatment for those who come to invest and trust in the Lagunera Region," he said.
Riquelme Solís reaffirmed that he is sure that Milwaukee and any new company that arrives will find the local supply that it requires, skilled labor at the highest levels.
“Welcome Milwaukee to Coahuila and La Comarca Lagunera, it was very necessary, we will work to improve the infrastructure in the industrial parks with the City of Torreón,” he said.
Jorge Zermeño Infante, municipal president of Torreón, said that at the national level there is already talk of the commitment to come to associate with La Comarca Lagunera by a world leader in tools.

In addition to Jaime Guerra Pérez, Secretary of Economy of the state; as well as Román Alberto Cepeda, secretary of Labor, among other officials.
