Querétaro secures $110.8 million pesos investment from ZF Group at Hannover Messe

Querétaro strengthened its automotive leadership with the announcement of a 110.8 million pesos investment by TRW of ZF Group during Hannover Messe in Germany. The project includes the creation of 78 jobs and will focus on the development of steering systems for passenger and commercial vehicles, reinforcing the state’s presence in the global industry.
As part of the industrial event, Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, head of the Secretariat of Sustainable Development (SEDESU), held meetings with company executives to explore new collaboration opportunities. This dialogue led to the investment announcement, at a time when Querétaro is seeking to attract projects with higher technological value.

The official highlighted that the state has evolved beyond traditional auto parts manufacturing, positioning itself in the production of advanced automotive systems. This shift responds to the incorporation of next-generation technology, which sets the pace for vehicles manufactured in the state and strengthens its competitiveness in the international market.

Andreas Temmen, Vice President of Operations for the Steering line, stated that the company will continue promoting new projects from the state. He emphasized that institutional support has been key to consolidating its growth and facilitating the development of high-impact initiatives in the region.
For his part, Querétaro Mayor Felifer Macías said the local government will support the development of the project to ensure its implementation in the short term. He added that this investment will contribute to increasing the state’s industrial competitiveness and strengthening its position within the national automotive sector.
